Pearls have been precious jewels since the dawn of history, and I was fascinated by this exhibition of antique jewelry displayed at Mikimoto Pearl Island. The oldest pieces in the collection were Roman, and the newest were twentieth century. The collection also includes what I can only describe as art objects, such as the model of the Liberty Bell and the pearl pagoda. Don't miss this exhibition when you go to Mikimoto Pearl Island!
