Jizo Statues in Snow at Taichoji

Forlorn snow-covered Jizo statues in mid winter

When I visited Taichoji Temple in early October last year, I found fascinating jizo statues there. I call this temple, 'A Jizo Paradise', and when it snowed in early January this year, I revisited the temple to see my favorite jizo covered in snow. Especially, I wanted to see the jizo statues in the 'Jizo Cemetery' where broken jizo statues are casually abandoned. The other statues were all there too, sitting silently in the temple grounds covered in white snow. Wonderful!
