I knew about Osagoe Folk Village in Fukui City, but I expected it to be located somewhere deep in woods, probably a few hours drive from the city center. It was quite a surprise when I unexpectedly found it right under my nose, only five minutes drive from my place! Located at the foot of a small hill, it has spacious Fukui City Culture Park beside it. The autumn leaves were unbelievably gorgeous! Although autumn is over as I am writing this, the winter view with snow on the thatched roofs must be very beautiful. I must visit here again when snow falls!
